書法筆鋒的移動有大圈和細圈兩種。綫和綫之間的流動稱之為大圈,綫內的流轉叫小圈。這位書法家喜歡把大圈寫出來。這不是我欣賞的風格,但卻是很好的示範。
In calligraphy, the path of the brush boils down to two types. One of which is the path that links up stroke and stroke (the “Big Circles”), and the other one is the movement of the tip of the brush within a stroke (the “Small Circles”). This calligrapher likes to emphasize the Big Circles. My preference is to emphasise the Small Circles and hide the Big Circles. But nonetheless this post is a good example to illustrate what Big Circles means.
